Luger P-08 9mm Luger

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

The Luger has a well-defined appeal to those interested in history. But the bottom line is, this pistol was not reliable. Neither was it more accurate than its replacement, the Walther P-38. Still, the Luger wasn’t a disappointment in looks or character, and we did manage to improve function, but as a recreational shooter, the Luger isn’t a first choice by any means.

The Luger is an interesting handgun that brings a smile to the faces of every shooter. Everyone loved the 110-degree grip angle. This may be the most comfortable grip ever devised.
The Luger’s takedown lever is a modern feature much appreciated by the crew of testers.
This is what one malfunction looked like—the toggle refused to run forward despite our best efforts with magazines, springs, and ammunition.
