Understated elegance. Very accurate, but somewhat picky about choice of ammunition.

Bushing-less bull-barreled pistols require a tool to capture the recoil spring. In this case we fabricated a takedown tool by bending a section of paper clip into a right angle. A hole in the guide rod was in place specifically for this purpose. Note the profile of the flat-wire recoil spring (arrow).
The flat surface of the rear sight unit and its heavily built ears allow the operator to use the rear sight as a hook that can be used to rack or release the slide when a second hand is not available. The shooter's side of the rear sight offered a single self-illuminating tritium module placed directly below the notch. The flat-profile top strap featured a grooved surface to reduce glare. The reduced-mass hammer was grooved for better gripping.
The G10 grip was machined to expose its layers in a most distinctive pattern. It offered superior grip, too. The 25-lpi checkering was very clean; it was a visual cue of the quality machine work throughout. Note the radius of the frame below the mainspring housing (arrow).
