Only two malfunctions in more than 500 rounds of multiple- weight shotshells. Odd loading sequence for one of the tubes. We liked how the gun operated, but the high price and the availability of a less-costly Saiga moves this down a notch.

Don't take this wrong: This failure to feed was one of only two bobbles we had out of more than 500 rounds fired.
Most of the UTAS-15 was manufactured from high-strength polymer. We tried breaking parts reputed to fail, but could not.
Its cool looks should not overshadow the functional aspects of the UTS- 15. At right, a breaching brake.
