Gun Report

Kahr Arms CM9 No. CM9093 9mm Luger, $382

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

GUN TESTS GRADE: B+
The CM9 has a stiff recoil spring and long trigger pull that we did not like, but the performance of the pistol in both the accuracy and defense test along with the ease of concealment got the Kahr a favorable grade. We are not crazy about the sights, which become a blur when drawn quickly, but they worked well enough. This is the lightest pistol in the test, weighing in less loaded than the others when empty.

This looks like a simple sight, just the bar and dot. But during our speed drills, we had a fair amount of trouble picking it up.
Two issues in play here: The short grip helps make the CM9 concealable, but harder to shoot. And the trigger is pretty heavy.
