There aren't many components to the compact KSG. Keeps weight down and minimizes trouble. Note how the two magazine tubes are joined into the steel receiver.
Though the KSG works fine without a front grip, we much preferred having one. With an appropriate dot sight, flashlight, and grip, the KSG is a power-packed self-defense shotgun out to 25 or 50 yards.
Above, left. The early KSG broke at the forend on both sides, which meant the attached bolt carrier (arrow, right) detached, rendering the gun useless. The production version is strengthened in that region.
