The stock and pistol grip are one piece, with a hard-rubber recoil pad screwed into the butt (below). The edges were rounded and did not snag on clothing. The pistol grip, right, was rubber molded with finger grooves in the front strap and coarse grooves on the rear gripstrap. It fit most hand sizes and helped with recoil.
The action-release button is on the right side of the receiver just below the ejection port. It is round and smooth and required the right amount of effort to activate, testers said.
The front sight was polymer and screwed onto the barrel with a red fiber-optic tube that was more intense in daylight than in darkness. We did notice the front loosened after testing, but so did the fillings in our teeth after all the slugs and buckshot. A 2mm hex wrench tightened the front post.
