Designed to be an all-round training and competition rifle, a calibrated rail was attached to the underside of the fore end. A sling swivel or a hand stop could be readily attached. The rail was seated flush and did not interfere with benchrest shooting.
Our favorite feature was the adjustment for length of pull and comb height. The plastic plate nearest the buttstock was a shim to increase length, but we actually didnít need to remove the other components to put it in or take it out. The black piece in the center offered a track and floating lug on which the rubber buttpad could be moved up or down. We liked the fact that adjustment was fast and secure using only one good wrench. The Allen screw was not metric, which was a pleasant surprise considering that the rifle is a product of Germany. The hole in the butt stock was for mounting an optional butt plate carrier that offered additional options for adjustment.
The trigger was adjustable for pull weight and travel. Held in place by a clamp, the trigger itself could also be moved back and forth so the shooter can find the optimum distance between the pistol grip and the pad of the index finger. As delivered, the trigger weight was a cautionary 10 ounces. Also shown is the two-position safety. Note that the scope was mounted directly to the 11mm 60-degree base machined directly into the receiver.
These 11mm grooves are in place to provide a mount for a front sight. The diameter of the barrel was increased to provide the proper height in relation to the rear sight unit.
