We admit being conflicted by this gun. We didn’t like the sights, the short grip, or the long DAO trigger pull. But if you want to buy this as a hideout piece, you’ll look past those issues.

This isn’t a firing grip. We’re just demonstrating how a woman’s hand fits on the Kahr. You can see how the trigger finger wraps around the trigger shoe, highlighting how short the 2.33-inch trigger span is. Also, the ring finger is nearly off the gun. The thumb can reach the slide-release lever, but most women couldn’t pull the slide back enough to release the catch and let the slide advance, even when holding the gun at chest level and pushing the hands together. That factor alone is enough for many people with diminished grip strength to pass on this one. It’s something you have to check for yourself.
The Kahr is easy to get to this point. Reassembly is likewise not a problem.
