SIG Sauer P228 9MM Luger, $600 used (Grade: B+ 2014)

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

The SIG is a good handgun. A combination of the ideal size and weight make the P228 among the most popular SIG pistols. However, the new-in-the-box Beretta offered comparable performance, a better warranty, and corrosion resistance.
