FNH USA FiveseveN IOM Pistol 5.7x28mm

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

Accurate and reliable, the FNH pistol unfortunately has design features most civilian shooters will find less than ideal, we believe. Also, the RIA’s 22 TCM cartridge is more powerful. The light weight of the FiveseveN is appealing, making it a very pleasant handgun to fire. The round is chambered in FN PDWs, but we’re leery of recommending it for self-defense.

The safety location was all wrong for rapid manipulation, in our opinion.
The slide lock was readily accessible. In our opinion, the safety and slide-lock locations should have been reversed.
If shot from a stable firing position, long- range hits are possible with the 5.7.
The adjustable rear sight of the 5.7 is a good feature. Our pistol arrived well regulated for shooting at 15 yards.
This is the FN field-stripped. It’s very easy to get the pistol to this condition, and easy to put back together.
