Excellent fit and finish, flawless operation. We think its name has some cachet because of Ithaca's wartime production of 1911 pistols, but this unit is thoroughly modern. This pistol holds its own against other 45s in the same price range.

We found evidence of careful assembly throughout the Ithaca. The match-grade barrel was tightly fitted and well polished.
Great-looking cocobolo grips looked right alongside the smooth matte-black metalwork on the Ithaca. The texture on the panel offered good grip.
The Ithaca requires a supplied Allen wrench to back out the full-length guide rod. The gun comes with one stainless magazine, a little chintzy, in our view. There was no rattling or looseness that we could find.
