A smooth handling shotgun that functioned very well and put shot pellets and slugs in the right place, this tactical firearm would be a fine self-defense tool for budget-minded shooters.

The action release was a little stiff at the start of our testing, but seemed to smooth out after a few rounds were sent down range. We were particularly pleased with the 6.5-pound trigger pull.
We liked the combination of two red light bars on the side of the Ghost Ring peep sight and the chartreuse bar on the front sight. Target acquisition was much easier and quicker than with the sights on the Weatherby, we thought.
With the exception of a smaller full-length pistol grip, the stocks of both test shotguns were nearly identical. We believe the extra half pound of weight with the CZ helped tame some of the shoulder shock experienced when firing the firearm.
