Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

GUN TESTS GRADE: A+ The pre-owned SIG P226R turned in as-new performance. Reliable and fast handling, the SIG got high marks during the firing tests. The pistol was ergonomic and fit most hands well. The double-action trigger was very smooth. The pistolís advantage over the other handguns was its accuracy.

Accuracy with all pistols was combat acceptable, but SIG's P226R was stellar. It is rated highly enough for hostage-rescue use where accuracy is at a premium. We thought this handgun was a great value.
The SIG P226R was fired in the same range drills with the same ammunition as the other pistols and was drawn from a Nelson holster, shown, one of the best-designed and executed IWB types we have used in some time. The Neoprene backing on a leather holster may be an original step.
The SIG decocker and slide lock are close to the hand and easily manipulated.
