Kimber Gold Match II 45 ACP

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

The Gold Match II offered an excellent trigger action, truly crisp and controllable, excellent accuracy, and sights that offered good adjustment. It was more accurate than the Springfield. The Kimber was reliable, and its final fit and polish were flawless. Still, we felt that the Springfield offered a couple of superior features for much less money.

Kimber's ambidextrous safety was well fitted, but we liked the reinforced Springfield better.
Kimber's full-length guide rod was well made and fitted well. The gun's function with all loads was excellent. The Kimber Gold Match was well made and well finished, with high marks on every point.
The Kimber's forward cocking serrations were crisply cut and inset into a topnotch final polish.
The Kimber rear sight provided a wide range of adjustment.
