The Bulldog had good accuracy for such a small revolver. The double-action trigger was smooth. The wood grip fit was loose and unacceptable.

Note how rough the rear sight groove in the Bulldog (top) is compared to the rear sight groove in the Pitbull (bottom).
The cylinder-to-barrel gap measured 0.010 inches, but we did not experience splash nor lose muzzle velocity.
Since the ejector rod is not in a shroud, the cylinder can be opened by pulling on the ejector rod inline of the cylinder latch. This old design still works well, in the opinion of our testers. It may be dated, but isnít obsolete.
