The Shield is halfway between the XD-S and the Glock in size. We liked its balance, and the pistol gave excellent results on the combat range.
The Smith & Wesson Shield features the usual hinged trigger. The trigger breaks at 6 pounds and has a cleaner break than either the Glock or the XD-S, our shooters said.
