STI’s new DVC Limited and Open pistols are an entirely new design based off the 2011 platform and are built specifically for competitive shooting, such as 3-Gun, U.S.P.S.A., or I.P.S.C.

The “DVC” acronym is derived from “Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas,” the motto of the International Practical Shooting Confederation. Translated, the motto means “Accuracy, Power, Speed.”

Suggested retail for the DVC Limited is $2800. It’s available in 9mm and 40 S&W.

Suggested retail for the DVC Open is $3,699. It is available in either 38 Super or 9mm.

Both are tuned to make major power factor.

Both DVC pistols come with two 140mm magazines each.

Their 5-inch precision-fit bull barrels have been coated with titanium nitride for hardness, lubricity, and longevity.

The guns feature a wider-than-standard frame with a full-length dust cover.

An all-new sear design in the triggers break at a clean 2 to 2.5 pounds.

The grips have been hand textured, reduced and undercut.

All steel parts have been hard chromed for maximum durability.

On the Limited model, weight has been removed from the slide to help keep the gun balanced, increase cycle rate, and reduce forward recoil.

The front sight is a Dawson Precision fiber optic and the rear is fully adjustable.

The DVC Open is topped off with a 6-minute-of-angle C-More sight.

The ambidextrous slide-racker is also new, and it can be used on either side of the pistol via a dual-detent system.
