Los Angeles Police Department Approves Benelli M4 Tactical Shotgun for Individual Officer Purchase

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has authorized the Benelli M4, a semi-automatic entry-type weapon, for duty use by its officers.

"It's quite an honor to have the Los Angeles Police Department now using the Benelli M4 Shotgun on duty and off duty," stated Patrick McDonald, Vice-President, Law Enforcement Sales.

The M4 is manufactured by Benelli, which is one of the Beretta Holding Group companies. The Benelli M4 is distributed by Beretta U.S.A. Corp. for law enforcement agencies in the United States. The Benelli M4 is also a standard issue weapon used by the U.S. Marine Corps.

I personally feel this is slap in the face to us non-cops. The Chiefs of Police in Cal. Have a hard-on about Concealed Carry. So I say screw them. The cops should be mistreated like the rest of us!! Benelli should follow the lead of gun manufacuters like the one that won't sell to law agencies anymore cause they outlawed the .50 Cal. rifle....Hooray for them.
