N.J. Seeks to Limit Handgun Purchases to One a Month

New Jersey could soon become the fourth state to limit handgun purchases to one a month.

There is much debate over whether such laws work, however, and opponents say a limit would infringe on a constitutional right in a state that already has rigorous screenings for gun buyers.

The proposal won approval in the Assembly but faces a tough final test in the more evenly divided Senate. Gov. Corzine, who sponsored a similar plan in the U.S. Senate, has said he will "absolutely" sign the bill into law if it reaches his desk.

"How many guns does somebody need to purchase in a month?" Corzine asked.

How many guns does it take to kill someone????
If they are afraid of someone buying a lot of guns and selling them to criminals, then investigate the person if it is a suspicious transaction.
Maybe we need to publish the IQ of anyone wishing to run for office. To quote Ron White....”You can't fix stupid”.

One strange thing about these people. They are not about to use the Constitution when it serves their purposes, but when it does not they violate it with impunity. This law would do NOTHING to stop criminals from getting guns. It would certainly help them become better in their chosen trade. Remember, an unarmed population makes better victims for a tyrannical government, or the criminals whom which they so lovingly empower.

To answer your question Governor, 1) none of your business, and 2) as many as he or she wants.

Another piece of feel good legislation the liberals like to impose that does absolutely nothing to stop crime. If only they were that passionate about keeping violent criminals in jail.

Once again, The law abiding will be penalized, while criminals will be free to buy as many as THEY need!!! Corzine is an idiot, but it will make his constituents feel really good and get him LOTS more votes.
