Browning Cynergy Euro Field 3-inch 12 Gauge No. 013297304

Though a competent shotgun, it failed to impress all of us as a group, though one shooter found the right fit with the Cynergy he’d not experienced before and immediately bought one as a result. A little more wood and engraving attention and a little less price would help get the Cynergy up to the value level of the Ruger and up to the fit/finish level of the Caesar Guerini.

The Cynergy’s fit and finish wasn’t up to snuff. The unsightly gap at the top of the recoil pad (arrow) was an example of this lack of attention to detail. Also, our shotgun had a prominent wood blemish on the right side of the buttstock.
Though Browning presents this Cynergy as having upgraded wood and “full coverage engraving,”we found a lot of metal lacking anything. The Browning attempt fell well short of the CG Tempio’s engraving coverage and quality, we thought.
