The M1 carbine began life with a round bolt, but later production gave it a flattened top. We preferred the look of the rounded one, but many shooters like the other. They work equally well, we found.
The two CMP carbines had a stamped base for the rear sight. While it has most of the adjustments of the milled version, it lacks the ability to reset the windage to zero.
