Kimber has released a KDS9c pistol with a Picatinny rail and ambidextrous safety. MSRP: $1903. The KDS9c Rail began shipping at the end of January.

Everett Deger, director of marketing for Kimber, said, “When we started shipping the KDS9c in July of 2023, the most requested additions were for a rail and ambidextrous safety. The KDS9c Rail delivers these concealed carry attributes and is machined, assembled and finished by American workers in Troy, Alabama.”

The KDS9c Rail, like the original KDS9c launched in April 2023, is a hammer fired semi-automatic pistol. This new offering will come standard with one 15-round magazine and one 18-round magazine with alloy extended base. This new model will also be available with a 10-round magazine in states with capacity restrictions.

The optics capability mimics that of the legacy KDS9c and features mounting plates for the Trijicon RMR family of footprints, Holosun K, and Vortex Venom red-dot optics.

The alloy frame is made with 7075 aerospace grade aluminum and has an integrated crosshatch texture for the front strap and grip panels. The trigger has a factory pull-weight range of 3.5 to 4.5 pounds.

TXC will offer holsters for the KDS9c Rail in the X1 Pro line (accommodates Surefire X-300 lights) in both right- and left-handed models as well as the TXC OVRT holster in both right- and left-hand models.
