JTS M12AK Semi-Auto Shotgun 12 Gauge

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

GUN TESTS GRADE: A
The JTS shotgun worked fine and was accurate enough for short-range hunting with slugs, mostly due to its good sights. We did not like a shell sticking in the chamber, but it did not repeat. While the shotgun was generally successful in the test, it does not handle as quickly as the conventional pump-action shotguns. The shotgun features a rail for mounting red-dot sights.

This 12-gauge AK-type 5-round magazine worked well during the test. At $450, the JTS came with two magazines; the other magazine-fed shotguns did not.
The JTS shotgun was a popular gun with the raters, but its weight is a drawback. The JTS's controls and safety were not stiff as some AK types are.
The AK gas system should be trouble free. It was during our testing. The numbers 0, 1, 2, and 3 represent the corresponding gas ports. The number 1 represents the smallest gas port, and the number 3 represents the biggest gas port. The number 0 represents the locking position.
