FN's Longslide features a light rail. The serial number is imbedded in the frame. The FN is a solid pistol that handles well. The FN 9mm may be described as no frills and high reliability.
The FNH 9mm Longslide performed well in rapid fire. With a long sight radius and heavier weight, the longer pistols are pleasant to fire and make for excellent accuracy in trained hands.
Field-strip is easy enough with this pistol. We felt that the FN recoil spring and guide did a good job in controlling 9mm +P and +P+ recoil.
Grip pebbling is well done and offers a good fit.
Most raters felt the FN's sights were good service-grade types.
Several drills were fired with one hand during the test period. The pistols are well balanced and easy to use.
