Gun Report

Smith & Wesson Model 60 .357 Magnum

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

We liked this gun a lot. It seemed to be the best compromise ofweight, and with its hand-filling grips, handled the hot ammo well.Accuracy was lacking with soft lead bullets, but was probablyadequate for any self-defense use. We missed night sights, though. Workmanship was excellent and the SA trigger wasoutstanding, but we got bad glare off the frame in the sun.

Polished like mirrors inside, the Smith's chambers also had nicely chamfered edges so reloading was a breeze. Little touches like this make a difference when the chips are down.
