The Colt Gunsite pistol arrived with thin grips whose smooth diamond pattern melted into its slim profile. Trigger was aluminum and was adjustable for overtravel.
The use of a standard length guide rod made field stripping a simple task, even without a bushing wrench. The Colt Gunsite was a Series 70 pistol, which lacks the 80-Series's plunger-type mechanism underneath the rear of the slide.
