The stock needed trimming along its top and bottom at the parting line. While nondescript, it worked. We also liked the tang safety on the Savage, which permitted removing cartridges from the blind magazine with some degree of safety.
The rock-hard butt pad of the Savage didn't fit well at all (arrow). We'd change it for a much softer one.
