Gun Report

Colt Mustang 380 Auto

Read Gun Tests Rating and Recommendation

The all-steel Colt Mustang was the only one of the four test guns that worked perfectly in the condition we received it. But it would not be our choice, because it weighed about 5 ounces more than the Pocketlite, which could do more things for us. We see no reason to buy this gun, except for collector purposes.

The gun looked new and the trigger pull was crisp, so imagine our disappointment with its 8-inch groups.
The Colt broke down easily. We particularly liked the magazine extension that permitted ripping a stuck mag out or tapping a fresh one firmly back in.
