This model's straight comb provided a very good stockweld with the open sights, but we felt it was a little low when using a scope. The rubber recoil pad and easy-to-adjust rear sight were a plus.

The Browning’s bolt release was a lever at the right bottom corner of the forend, while its floorplate catch was a sliding latch in front of the trigger guard.
The crossbolt safety was at the rear of the trigger guard. All of the controls worked positively.
