Les Baer Premier II .45

Beautiful workmanship, ambi safety, outstanding accuracy. But the gun was marred by too-tight fitting, a bit of creep in the trigger, and a few sharp edges.

Here’s some of Baer’s outstanding workmanship on the 30-lpi checkered front grip strap.
The top arrow points to a nicely beveled edge. The bottom, to a sharp corner. We could live with this, but the front edge of the rear sight needed work.
Baer's treatment of the mainspring housing was plain serrations, but they were sharp enough to give a very good grasp on the gun. Downside: We didn’t like the sharp, squared-off bottoms of the grip panels.
