The high scope mount was a little too fat for some rings, but the cylindrical extension helped us reach the hammer with the scope in place. It can be mounted facing left or right. The barrel release was to the right of the hammer but was accessible to left- or right-handed shooters.
The Monte Carlo stock was backed with a ventilated rubber pad. Most inexpensive rifles fail to supply usable comb height, but stock dimensions on the Sportster were spot on.
The ejector launched the empty case out of the chamber. Trigger, barrel release, and ejector all worked flawlessly. This made the single-shot Sportster fun.
