The Commander-like hammer cuts the web of the hand, and many shooters still want a beavertail. These cost about $200-250 plus refinishing. We thought the safety was entirely adequate for a cocked-and-locked design, though some shooters will want it bigger.
Some shooters won’t like this sight picture, but we did. We found that careful alignment would give small groups, and for fast shooting this setup was excellent for those of us who were used to express-rifle sights.
