The slide release was ambidextrous and turned on the slide-stop pin. The right-side lever stayed in place with the pin removed. Note the connecting lug atop the guide rod assembly.
A rubber O-ring on the barrel served to enhance lockup. We’ve heard they are very durable, but several extra rings were supplied.
