The magazine release was enhanced by an extension lever. This saved a fingernail or two compared to the original design, but sometimes required some prodding at the front of the magazine before it would fall.
The aluminum Weaver scope base was screwed down and coated with the same epoxy base matte coating. The base did not fit Picatinny mounts, and the coating rubbed off.
