GUN TESTS GRADE: A
The CZ 83 may be the best example of a traditional double-action pistol we've tested. This is a great high-capacity semiauto for those who desire lower recoil.

The CZ 83 operated via blowback design with a fixed barrel. Note the slide lock/release located just forward of the grip. Not every blowback pistol offers this feature.
Neither left- or right-handed shooters found it necessary to shift their grip to move the thumb safeties up or down. The CZ 83 can also be shot beginning with the hammer down.
