Hi Todd,
I just received my January ’23 issue. Really liked the 1911 article.
I also took interest in the Red Dot piece. I recently bought a Colt 6940. I hadn’t had an AR-15 in 20 years. My Son, a Marine told me I needed one.
Started to build, but when I checked out the Colt, it was love at 1st sight. I researched optics; Red Dots, Holographics, and Prisms. I compared features, pric, etc.
When all was said and done I settled on a Primary Arms SLx Cyclops with a Green retical. The price was in my reach, the reviews were great, and given I’m 74 years old the Cyclops has a focus for the retical (The others didn’t.)
I personally think this is a great sight. The retical goes from Very bright down to Night Vision levels. It also has a range finding capability. Sure would like to see Gun Tests do an article on it.
Keep up the good work.
Al Lovitz
There are very few magazines that I get that I anticipate as much as I do GunTests…keep up the great work!
