Browning Citori Model XS Sporting Over/Under 12 Gauge, $2120 (used)

Gun Tests magazine compared two high-end shotguns from Browning in the April 2012 issue to see which model offered the most bang for the buck. This Bargain Hunter test pitted a used Browning Citori Model XS Sporting Over/Under 12 Gauge, $2120; and a Browning Citori Model 725, $3140, on the competition shooting range. Editor, seemingly believed that regulation isn't an infringement of the 2nd Amendment, and it got him in hot water with his readers. The columnist wrote in his December G&A "Backstop" column that "way too many gun owners still seem to believe that any regulation of the right to keep and bear arms is an infringement. The fact is, all constitutional rights are regulated, always have been, and need to be.

Praise for Winchester Defender

I really enjoyed the article comparing the Benelli, Stevens, and CZ scatterguns; however, I'm still going to rate my Winchester Model 1300 Defender over all of them. It was half the cost of even your cheapest test gun, as I bought it for a C-note at a pawn shop, and the Winchester pump action is, if you'll pardon the horrible pun, damn near bulletproof.

Kimber Solo Carry No. 3900001 9mm Luger

We mixed apples and oranges, that is, pistols and revolvers, in the July 2012 issue to see which design worked best for self-protection at close range.
