Smith & Wesson Announces New California-Compliant Pistol Models

Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ Global Select: SWBI) has released several California-compliant models of the M&P9 Shield Plus, M&P9 M2.0 Compact, and M&P9 M2.0 Full-size pistols.

The M&P9 Shield Plus comes equipped with a 10+1 round flush-fit magazine. It is engineered with an 18-degree grip angle, a flat-faced trigger for consistent finger placement, and a modified grip texture to improve purchase.

Additional features include a 3.1-inch barrel, white dot sights, loaded chamber indicator, stainless-steel slide with Armornite finish, and two 10-round magazines.

The next new offerings of CA-Compliant models stem from the polymer M&P9 M2.0 line. Notable features of the M&P9 M2.0 include an extended stainless-steel chassis and low barrel bore axis, a trigger with a lighter pull and a tactile and audible reset, interchangeable palmswell inserts, and a loaded chamber indicator.

Available California models will include a compact frame with a 4-inch barrel and full-size frame with a 4.25-inch barrel that both ship with two 10-round magazines.

MSRP for the new CA-Compliant SKU’s are $769 for the M&P 2.0 full-size, $749 for the M&P 2.0 compact, and $599 for the Shield Plus.
