Armalite: The AR10T is now available in the .338 Federal round. This hunting, home defense and law enforcement mainstay comes with a 22-inch stainless steel barrel with a one in ten twist, Picatinny rail and match trigger. (www.armalite.com)

Browning: The new X-bolt rifle features a three-level Feather Trigger System that’s factory preset at 3.5 lbs. but allows a user-configurable range of from three to five pounds. The result. A crisp pull with no take-up or creep, and no overtravel. The X-bolt also has a new bolt lock for added security in addition to the rifle’s top-tang safety.

CZ: The Czech SA VZ 5.8 in 7.62 mm will now be available in the United States in two semi-auto versions. The Eastern European offering boats a milled receiver, considered an advantage over competitor AK’s stamped receiver.

FNH USA: This diverse player from the world of both tactical and high-power realms has added several rifles to its traditionally strong line. They include the new FN FS2000 in 17.4 and 29.1 barrel lengths; a civilian version of the FN Tactical Bullpup chambered in a rotary-action .223; and the PS90 Carbine in 5.7X28mm. Varminters should check out FN’s family of Precision Shooting Rifles (PSR) modeled on the Model 70 action but updated with a three-position safety.

Marlin: Watch for the new XL7 centerfire in .25/06 Rem, .270 Win and .30/06 Springfield. The XL7 features Marlin’s Pro Fire Trigger that can adjust to a clean- breaking 2.5 pounds.

Remington: The new R-15 VTR is Remington’s first foray into an AR-15 style semi-auto rifle. Drawing on assistance from venerable AR stalwart Bushmaster, the R-15 features a fluted barrel, recessed hunting crown and a flat top Picatinny rail—all standard.

Weatherby: In continuous production since 1970, the aged-to-perfection Weatherby Vanguard is now available in 7mm/08.

Shotguns

Browning: The Classic Citori has gotten an upgrade this year with the addition of the 625 12-gauge. The new scattergun boats the Citori line’s proven stock ergonomics but boasts updated checkering and receiver engraving, plus an improved trigger design that offers lighter, crisper pull weight.Ceasar Guerini USA: High-end trap shooters will like the Dynamic Tuning Sytem’s (DTS) that offers a fully adjustable rib and easy adjustments for comb height, drop, offset and cast.

Remington: The company’s proven 11-87 semi-auto action style is now available in a synthetic Sportsman ShurShot with cantilevered scope mount and Supercell recoil pad. The camouflage pattern stock, forend and matte finish becomes the waterfowler’s version of a Remington’s top-rated tactical shotgun.
