(GunReports.com) — In a surprise move, and facing an erosion of support, Texas state Sen. Jeff Wentworth, R-San Antonio, withdrew from consideration this afternoon a controversial bill that would allow concealed-handgun licensees to carry their pistols in public college and university buildings in Texas.
Quoted in the Austin American-Statesman, Sen. Wentworth says he intends to bring Senate Bill 354 up for debate again on Monday.
