Gun Tests Magazine has named the Kimber Pro Custom Defense Package II 45 ACP as the publication’s “Best in Class Pistol” for 2013.

Editor, seemingly believed that regulation isn't an infringement of the 2nd Amendment, and it got him in hot water with his readers. The columnist wrote in his December G&A "Backstop" column that "way too many gun owners still seem to believe that any regulation of the right to keep and bear arms is an infringement. The fact is, all constitutional rights are regulated, always have been, and need to be.

I really enjoyed the article comparing the Benelli, Stevens, and CZ scatterguns; however, I'm still going to rate my Winchester Model 1300 Defender over all of them. It was half the cost of even your cheapest test gun, as I bought it for a C-note at a pawn shop, and the Winchester pump action is, if you'll pardon the horrible pun, damn near bulletproof.

Gun Tests’ South Carolina test team recently obtained a trio of self-defense handguns in the popular Commander-size 1911 frame size to test: the 4.25-inch-barrel SIG Sauer Carry Stainless 1911CA-45-SSS 45 ACP, $1142; and the new Ruger SR1911CMD No. 6702 45 ACP, $829. The third gun was a 4-inch-barrel aluminum-frame Kimber Pro CDP.
