At SHOT Show 2023, Joe Woolley, Contributing Editor for Gun Tests Magazine, interviewed Michael Humphries, Media Relations Manager for Springfield Armory, to learn about the company’s new Saint Victor 9mm Carbine.
The Saint Victor 9mm Carbine is a PCC (pistol caliber carbine) whose bolt carrier group features a direct blowback system designed specifically for the 9mm cartridge. Built on a dedicated 9mm lower receiver, the Saint Victor Carbine eliminates the need for magwell adapters and accepts Colt-pattern 32-round magazines. Constructed of steel, this Saint’s magazines interface with the dedicated lower and deliver smooth, reliable operation. MSRP $1299 for Model Number STV91609B
Features include a full-length free-floated handguard with M-Lok slots, forged upper and lower receivers designed around pistol-caliber cartridges, and a B5 Systems Grip and five-position adjustable stock.
To allow use on either shoulder, the Saint Victor 9mm Carbine features an ambidextrous thumb safety.
The Saint Victor 9mm Carbine’s Forward Blast Diverter is recessed under the full-length handguard.
Flip-up sights come standard on the Saint Victor 9mm Carbine. The red dot shown in the video is not standard equipment on the gun.
