Bushnell Outdoor Products has introduced two new red-dot sights designed for AR-style rifles. The AR Optics TRS-25 and First Strike HiRise sights include a riser block that elevates the sight to the proper mounting height for a flattop rifle. The integrated HiRise base can be quickly mounted on a Weaver-style base or Picatinny rail.

Throughout the month of September, participating shooting facilities across the United States will support the Folds of Honor Foundation through Patriot Range Days. Participating public and private shooting ranges nationwide will request a minimum contribution of $1 from each shooter for the Folds of Honor Foundation.

Bluing, as done in the good old days, was essentially a hand-applied process that took time to accomplish. The end result of the express rust-bluing process I'll describe here looks and wears just as well or better than some of the methods used in days gone by. In fact, it may even wear better than a few of the so-called "modern bluing methods" used on today's production firearms.
