Here we test two handguns suited to Action Pistol competition, one a relatively recent introduction from Canik, the TTI Combat, $900, and the other, Smith & Wesson’s Spec Series V M&P Metal HD, $1500. Both have heavier frames, long barrels, striker-fired mechanisms, and compensators. With all these features, they should make a 9mm handgun a truly enjoyable firing experience. Ramp up the sights and add a good trigger action, and you have a handgun well suited to many types of Action competition.
