Patterning the Taurus Judge
At reader request we went back to the Judge and retested it with Nos. 6 and 71⁄2 shot and with buckshot. As we predicted two issues ago, the patterns were essentially the same.

| We also heard from Rick Bachman of Old West Reproductions. Hes producing holsters for the Judge and Public Defender guns: the #125 Field Carry model and the #155 Working Mans Cross Draw model (right). Both holsters can be ordered plain or border tooled. What we found. Using No. 6 and No. 71⁄2 shot, the pattern density was best with the smallest shot, which had very little of the noted doughnut shape observed with No. 4s. Patterns with No. 71⁄2 were slightly tighter than with No.
